Meet some of the mentors taking part in our First Bourne accelerator with Silicon South.

Anthony Story - First Bourne's Project Lead

Anthony is an experienced entrepreneur and programme leader. His background is in the creative industries working in online, interactive, video and marketing - specialising in multi-platform communications. He is a skilled innovation and brand strategist and has delivered a range of UK and European support programmes these include: accelerators; investment readiness; seed funding; mentoring; marketing, incubation and young talent engagement.  He founded the successful digital agency Junction K.

Jonathan Clark - Founding Partner, Bright Blue Day

Jonathan Clark has a successful career in marketing communications,
and is currently the chairman and a founding Partner in Bright Blue Day, one of the country’s most successful integrated agencies. From start up to being a top 20 UK agency he has been instrumental in the growth of the business and every aspect of its success. He is also a shareholder in 2 other highly digital enterprises, one at Silicon Roundabout in London called BBDPerfect Storm and the other called In Touch, based in Weston-Super-Mare. He is a visiting fellow and a board member of Bournemouth University. Jonathan was also a branch chairman of the Institute of Directors and at the time was the youngest in the UK.

Jonathan has helped companies both large and small to overcome their challenges and grow and succeed in a highly competitive world. Throughout this time he has advised, mentored and helped people to be better, be stronger and stand out or even stand their ground in the workplace. Jonathan is a highly energetic, smart and intuitive individual. He has a passion for helping people succeed and a flair for doing so. His life experiences are broad, and his business acumen is founded on a practical and experienced approach.

Steve Taylor - Business Mentor

Steve Taylor is a specialist in leading and growing entrepreneurial creative and technology businesses. His previous job titles reflect an eclectic career: magazine editor, TV presenter & producer, brand strategist, inventor, head of ideas and director of innovation. He works with a portfolio of startups in the UK, Europe and the Far East, mostly in the fields of educational technology, publishing and social media. He is a prolific business advisor and mentor with organisations that support startups and innovation, including NESTA, the British Council and REACT.

Steven Neal - Partner, Kingston Smith

Steve has over thirty years' experience in

dealing with strategic planning and corporate finance transactions. He is a Senior Equity Partner in Kingston Smith LLP and founder of the firm’s corporate finance subsidiary Kingston Smith Corporate Finance Ltd a specialist FCA regulated advisory firm. Steve focuses on helping business owners reach their full potential by helping them develop corporate strategies that actually allow them to meet their realistic objectives. By utilising his experience in flotations, leverage financing and corporate strategy he provides frontline, lead advisory services.
