Creative England are running a workshop based on IP for games companies as part of the GamesLab: Leeds project. This project is eligible for SME’s within the Leeds City Region and is funded by ERDF, a European fund focussed on growing businesses in the area.
We are happy to working with local specialists to deliver advice on a range of topics, including trademarks, patents, copyright and design. Discover the importance of contracts, discuss the importance of due-diligence when pitching to publishers and marvel at how the GamesJam you worked on a few years ago and went on to develop with a separate team isn’t protected by law. No charge for eligible delegates, but there will be a charge of £20 for no-shows without notifying us 24 hours before the event. All proceeds from the cancellation fee will go to charity. Food and drinks will be provided.

GamesLab Leeds is a programme of support for talented, ambitious digital and games studios in the Leeds City Region – from Kirklees to York. No charge for eligible delegates, but there is a £25 charity donation due for any no-shows who don’t cancel with us before the first day. We can offer cancelled places to other people on the reserve list.
