Amuzo's GamesLab South West Funded Game ‘Cows Vs Sheep’ Gets Global Release

Bournemouth based games studio Amuzo are prepping for the global release of their GamesLab South West funded title ‘Cows Vs Sheep: Mower Mayhem’.

The game will be the studio’s first bespoke I.P release, following years of success working on an extensive catalogue of mobile games for LEGO. The team will partner with Dutch publishing house Spil Games for their debut, accessing the company’s extensive reach of over 100 million web and mobile players across the globe.

‘Cows Vs Sheep: Mower Mayhem’ was created through GamesLab South West, Creative England’s programme of funding and support offered to registered games studios based in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset and Devon. The programme is now closed for applications however our Games Development Fund for studios which display high growth potential is currently open.

Amuzo’s first foray into independent gaming invites players to take charge of an intergalactic cow-driven lawnmower in order to steal as much grass from the Earth as possible. This action-arcade game combines humour with a distinct and colourful visual style and will be available across both web and tablet.

Amuzo's Head of Production Adrian Smith said:

"GamesLab South West, together with Creative England have handed us that golden ticket that has helped Amuzo graduate to the next level on a global stage. In a highly competitive, worldwide creative industry, this additional funding was just what was required to tip the balance; allowing us to take that little extra risk to fully realise our commercial and creative potential.

"It's been a fantastic journey at Amuzo and we'll all have our hooves crossed as Cows Vs Sheep hits the digital highway!"

‘Cows Vs Sheep: Mower Mayhem’ is due for release in Spring 2016. To find out more about Creative England’s Greenshoots scheme or additional opportunities for regional games developers, visit our Games page or follow the GamesLab team on Twitter for updates.
