Barclays Eagle Lab Flight

Barclays were looking for a creative lead partner, that could help bring the vision of the Eagle Lab Flight programme to life. An enriching and creative learning journey was desired, Creative England were seen as a perfect fit, due to previous work running accelerator programmes and experience within the creative industries. Particularly the focus of support lent towards creative technology SMEs within the English regions.

This was the first accelerator Barclays has run with a focus on creative technology, with an objective to create connections with new and exciting SMEs outside their usual remit. 

The result, was a successful Eagle Lab Flight Programme, in which the final 7 companies made their pitches to a room full of investors and key staff from Barclays and Creative England. With an opportunity to received follow on investment 


Creative England and Barclays have also worked together in another means, that being Creative England's CE50.  An annual report which celebrates the achievements of 50 of the best up and coming, innovative and disruptive individuals and companies across film, games and digital tech.

Barclays was a natural fit to sponsor this year’s cohort thanks to their continued commitment to supporting disruptive and innovative businesses in the UK, and support of entrepreneurs at all stages of business.
